Boy's 'nuisance' mini moto seized
Seized mini moto
Pc Jason Heather said he warned the boy two months earlier
An 11-year-old boy has had his mini-motorcycle seized by police for causing a nuisance.

Kent Police said they told the boy two months ago the machine would be taken if he continued to ride on the road and annoy residents in Herne Bay.

Pc Jason Heather said: "The boy was clearly disappointed but had not taken on board the warning given to him.

"He persisted in riding the mini moto and local residents complained so I followed through the warning."

The bike will be disposed of unless a fee is paid for its recovery and storage costs.

Police have powers to seize motorcycles if a vehicle is being used to commit an offence or the use of a bike is likely to cause alarm or distress and annoyance.
