Furniture stolen as couple sleep
A couple in Kent disturbed by burglars as they slept woke up to find their furniture being loaded into a van.

Thousands of pounds worth of furniture was stolen from the house in Magazine Road, Ashford.

The couple were disturbed by a person in their bedroom, and when they confronted a man downstairs, he said he was at the wrong address and fled.

Among the items taken were 10 leather dining room chairs, a cream marble table and a mahogany display stand.

Both suspects in last Wednesday's burglary were described as white.

One was 5ft 7in tall with dark brown hair, while the other was 5ft 6in tall, of slim build, with short dark brown hair.

One of the men was seen running up the road towards St Theresa's Close at about 0600 GMT.

Kent Police said they were trying to trace a woman who was waiting for a bus or possibly a lift on the opposite side of Magazine Road who may have witnessed the incident.
