Second man held in murder inquiry
Athelstan Road
The body of the 26-year-old was found in a flat in Athelstan Road
A second man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of a man found stabbed to death in his flat in a Kent seaside town.

The body of David Gavin, 26, was discovered at his flat in Athelstan Road, Margate, on Wednesday night.

The 23-year-old man held on Saturday is being questioned at a police station in Kent, a police spokeswoman said.

Officers are continuing to hold a 28-year-old man, arrested on Thursday, after being given an extra 30 hours.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact Kent Police or Crimestoppers.

More than 50 officers are working on the investigation. A post-mortem examination revealed that Mr Gavin died after being stabbed.

The victim was seen having an argument in Athelstan Road earlier on Wednesday, which involved more than one person.
