Death by dangerous driving charge
A 36-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a woman was killed in a four-vehicle pile-up.

Janice MacKenzie, 50, from Beltinge, Kent, died and several others were hurt in October 2006.

Police said George Forbes, of Douglas Road, Herne Bay, was now due to appear before Canterbury Magistrates' Court on 15 March.

The accident happened on the A2990 Old Thanet Way, near Whitstable.

A man with a fractured skull, a seven-year-old boy with a facial injury, a woman with seatbelt injuries, and an 11-week-old baby were also taken to hospital after the crash.

Two other people suffered less serious injuries.
