A family have been tied up and beaten with baseball bats by three robbers who broke into their home in Kent.
The father, mother and adult daughter needed treatment for their injuries, after the attack in Hawksdown Road, Walmer, near Deal.
Police said the men - who also carried guns - had demanded keys to business premises owned by the family.
The attack, which police have described as "brutal", was carried out at about 0200 BST on Friday.
Witness appeal
A blue-grey Volkswagen Polo car, registration number A056 KJX, was stolen by the robbers.
Det Insp Kenny Ingram said: "We are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious, for instance people or vehicles, in the vicinity of Hawksdown Road during the early hours to contact us."
The men were said to have all been aged in their 20s.
One was 5ft 11in tall, slim, with fair hair, and wearing a white hooded top, dark trousers and pink fingerless gloves.
A second man was described as 6ft tall, of slim to medium build, and wearing a dark hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms tucked into socks.
The third robber was said to be 6ft tall and of medium build.
