Lorry driver killed in road crash

A lorry driver died on the A2 in Kent when his vehicle crashed in the early hours of Monday.

The accident happened on the Jubilee Way at Dover at about 0330 BST.

The road was closed in both directions at the scene, and drivers heading for Dover were asked to use the A20 instead, a Kent Police spokesman said.

Emergency teams said the accident involved the lorry and no other vehicles. The driver who died was said to be a foreign national.
