Second man bailed in Alaneme case

A second man charged with the Kent murder of 18-year-old Christopher Alaneme has been released on bail.

Plasterer Sean Duhig, 23, of Melbury Drive, Camberwell, London, was given conditional bail after an in-chambers hearing at Maidstone Crown Court.

His brother, Gerry Duhig, was given bail last week.

Three other men remain in custody at Belmarsh Prison after an earlier hearing, accused of fatally stabbing the teenager in Sheerness in April.

They are Peter Connolly, 29, and Andrew Giblin, 26, of Peckham, and Terence Beaney, 23, from Woolwich.

Mr Connolly, of Carisbrooke Gardens, Mr Giblin, from Bromyard House, Commercial Way, and Mr Beaney, from Rideout Street, each face a further charge of wounding another man with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

All five are due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 27 November for a plea and directions hearing.
