One killed in motorway collision
One person has died and another has suffered life threatening injuries in a collision involving a lorry and a car on the M2 in Kent.

It happened at about 1015 BST on Thursday. Both carriageways were closed between junctions five and six to allow access for the air ambulance.

Police said the London-bound carriageway had reopened, but there was serious congestion in both directions.

Coastbound traffic is being diverted off the motorway at junction five.

Officers are at the scene investigating the cause of the crash, which happened between Sittingbourne and Faversham.
