Mother's plea to missing teenager
Jennifer Gurr
Jennifer Gurr told her mother she was staying at a friend's home
The mother of a 14-year-old girl who has not been seen since she left the house to go to school two weeks ago has appealed to her to come home.

Jennifer Gurr, from Maidstone, has her mobile phone with her and has contacted her parents since her disappearance.

But Kent Police say her whereabouts are unknown and they are increasingly concerned for her welfare.

"We are very keen to have Jennifer safely back home with us as soon as possible," said her mother Caroline.

Failed to return

"It is now two weeks since she went missing and we want to let her know that she is not in any trouble."

Jennifer left on 29 June, telling her mother she would be staying at a friend's until Sunday, but failed to return home.

"We are confident that she will return home safely and want to reassure her that she will not be in any trouble," said Det Insp Dave Berry.

Jennifer is described as 5ft tall with medium build and brown eyes. She has straight shoulder-length brown hair with blonde hair underneath.

At the time she went missing, she was wearing school uniform consisting of a green jacket, green and told tie, white shirt and black trousers.
