Man charged over kebab shop death

David Henkel died in the Medway Maritime Hospital on Tuesday
A man has been charged with manslaughter after the death of a man attacked outside a Kent kebab shop.

Nowbahar Bahar, 21, from Gravesend, appeared before Medway Magistrates Court on Saturday charged in connection with the death of David Henkel.

Mr Henkel, 32, died from head injuries on Tuesday, three days after the incident outside Best Kebab in Bank Street, Chatham, last Saturday.

Mr Bahar was remanded in custody and is due at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday.
