Pensioner robbed by bogus group

An 81-year-old Kent woman had her handbag stolen from her own home by a group of people pretending to be from Age Concern.

Three men and one woman visited the pensioner's Sevenoaks home on Tuesday afternoon, manhandling her as they tried to escape.

Police said a number of similar cases have been reported in the South East.

In each instance the group make out they are either delivering a hamper or giving advice about security.

The woman is described as being dark European or olive skinned, slim, with very long straight dark brown hair.
