Blossom time for fruit collection

A 'breathtaking' display of cherry blossom is out at Brogdale
Up to 320 varieties of cherry blossom will be out on Sunday for a celebration at the home of the National Cherry Collection in Kent.

Visitors to Brogdale Horticultural Trust are promised "breathtaking" displays of blossom in the orchards on Brogdale Road in Faversham, Kent.

There will also be guided tours through the gardens for Cherry Blossom Sunday.

Brogdale is also home to the National Fruit Collection, said to be one of the largest in the world.

It has more than 2,300 varieties of apple, 550 pears, 350 plums and 320 varieties of bush fruits.
