A taskforce has been set up to eradicate potholes from Kent's roads.
Dedicated teams of two to three workmen will be dispatched to restore and maintain highways this summer.
Road repairs are usually only given the go-ahead following highway inspector reports but Kent County Council now wants residents to report problems.
The council says the highway workers will also be responsible for cutting back overhanging trees, repainting signs and clearing gullies.
The scheme has been expanded following successful trials in Tunbridge Wells.
