Windmill collapses following fire

A windmill in Kent has collapsed following a blaze on Saturday evening.

The mill in Brook Lane, Reculver, near Herne Bay had been undergoing renovation work when it caught fire.

Twenty firefighters were called to tackle the blaze but Kent Fire and Rescue Service said they were unable to save the mill.

The fire comes a month after another Kent windmill in Chillenden was fully restored, after it was blown over in strong winds two years ago.
