Ram raid vehicle movements probed
Ford flatbed truck (from Kent Police)
The Ford truck was abandoned with a cash machine already in the back
The movements of two vehicles used in a ram raid attempt on a cash machine in Kent in July are being investigated.

A gang fled empty-handed when night staff at Asda in Westwood Road, Broadstairs, disturbed them on 17 July.

Their escape vehicle - a dark-coloured Land Rover Discovery - was found burnt out nearby. It had been stolen from Birchington in April.

A dark-coloured Ford flatbed truck was left behind. Police want to know where both vehicles were kept before 17 July.

The gang used a stolen mechanical digger to rip two cash machines from a wall at the Asda store.

One was abandoned on the ground, the other in the back of the Ford truck.
