A knife-wielding robber demanded money from a shop cashier after forcing his way behind the counter.
The offender, who was wearing a balaclava, took a handful of bank notes when he held up the One Stop Shop, in Station Road, Gillingham, Kent.
He used a knife with a six-inch blade to threaten the worker before taking the cash and fleeing towards the railway line on Monday evening.
The robber was wearing a dark jacket with a fur collar and blue jeans.
He is described as 6ft tall and of stocky build and was wearing light coloured Doc Marten boots.
