Man charged with pensioner murder

A 41-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of pensioner Derek Saxby in Folkestone.

Robert White, of London Road, Folkestone, was charged on Thursday by Kent Police and appeared before magistrates in the town.

The defendant was remanded in custody to appear before Maidstone Crown Court at a date to be arranged.

Mr Saxby, aged 68, was found stabbed to death at his home, also in London Road, on 15 November last year.
