School finally gets playing field
A 120-year-old school is finally getting its first ever playing field.

Mundella Primary School, in Folkestone, Kent, will stage an opening ceremony on Thursday, attended by Folkestone and Hythe MP, Michael Howard.

The Conservative leader will be joined on the sports field at 1000 BST by around 200 pupils from the school.

More than £80,000 of funding came from the Big Lottery Fund after a bid by the school and Kent County Council's Sports Development Unit.

The council's cabinet member for community services, Sarah Hohler, said she hoped the playing field would help with the children's "all-round fitness".
