Two major new retail developments are opening their doors in Kent.
Westwood Cross is a large retail park on the Isle of Thanet
The Westwood Cross Shopping Centre is central to Thanet's regeneration, while Whitefriars Street is Canterbury's first new shopping street in 100 years.
Westwood Cross has also created around 1500 jobs in the Broadstairs area. Local councillors will mark its opening on Thursday.
Whitefriars Street has been in the making for more than five years and will soon host 10 new stores.
It is just one element in Canterbury's long-term Whitefriars scheme.
The new street - which links Gravel Walk and Whitefriars Square with St George's Street - will be formally opened by Councillor Harry Cragg, leader of Canterbury City Council, at 0930 BST.
Representatives from Kent County Council and Thanet District Council will cast their eyes around the finished Westwood Cross centre from 1200 BST.
