One dead after two-car collision

One man has been killed and two others were seriously hurt in a road accident in Kent.

Police said two vehicles were involved in the crash on the A28 at Bethersden, near Ashford, on Saturday morning.

Fire crews had to free two men, who were badly hurt, from one of the vehicles and another man in the same car was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man in the other car suffered minor injuries. The road was closed while crash investigators examined the scene.
