Portuguese restaurant vandalised
Three men were arrested after a Portuguese restaurant in a Kent village was vandalised following England's exit from Euro 2004.

Windows of the restaurant in Hadlow, near Tonbridge, were smashed after England's footballers lost on penalties to Portugal in Lisbon.

Kent Police said they had arrested men aged 26, 23 and 18, all from Hadlow.

Police said Thursday evening was a busy time for officers with a number of minor disturbances in west Kent.

Routine patrols

The three men were arrested at about 0030 BST on Friday, on suspicion of criminal damage.

Police said they were still in custody on Friday afternoon.

Officers appealed for anyone who saw what happened to contact them.

Kent Police said officers visited many of the county's pubs and bars throughout the course of their routine patrols and dealt with some minor disturbances.

They said they wanted to thank the public for the positive way police visits were received during the course of the evening.
