£15,000 to improve village centre
A village near Canterbury has been given nearly £15,000 to improve the lives of the families living there.

Government money has been used to renovate the Littlebourne family resources centre.

Work included improving kitchen and toilet facilities, paying for a new laminated floor, redecorating and providing hot water.

Parenting classes, music workshops and adult education classes are held at the family resources centre.

The Reverend Sue March, who has worked at the centre for 10 years, said: "The kitchen and toilet have been tiled throughout and we now have recessed lighting, brand new units and a beautiful new floor."

The grant has also improved facilities for the toddler group, which has been running for two years and which now has a slide, a ball pit, a tunnel and "soft play" activities.
