Euro notes
Most of the counterfeit money found was 50 euro notes
A 30-year-old man has been charged after fake euros worth more than £150,000 were found in a raid on a suspected counterfeit currency factory in Kent.

The forged cash was recovered after the National Crime Squad (NCS) raided two addresses on the Isle of Sheppey.

Colin Edgar, of Warden Road, Eastchurch, was remanded in custody charged with the possession of fake money and equipment for its production.

A woman who was also arrested was freed on bail pending further inquiries.

Hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of counterfeit currency was also recovered at a bungalow in Cliffe Gardens, Minster, following an eight-month investigation.

An NCS spokeswoman said detectives found computers, paper, hot foil used in printing, and a hot foil machine.

Most of the money found was 50 euro notes, but there was also a small quantity of £50 notes.
