Driver, 19, killed as car crashes near Bridlington

A 19-year-old man from the East Riding of Yorkshire has died after a car crashed into a field near Bridlington.

Lewis Redshaw, from Bridlington, was driving a green BMW on a country road between Grindale and Burton Fleming at 2045 GMT on Tuesday.

Police said he lost control near the crossroads with Argham Lane.

Two 17-year-old passengers suffered minor injuries including cuts and a broken arm. Humberside Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
