Driver killed when cars collide

A driver has died after his car collided with another vehicle and left the road in North East Lincolnshire.

He was driving a red Peugeot 306 when it collided with a white Peugeot 306 as they travelled in opposite directions along the A18 at Ashby Top.

Police said the other driver was taken to hospital with suspected multiple fractures to his spine and suspected liver or spleen damage.

The accident happened at about 0630 GMT on Wednesday.

Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
