Three men released in death probe

Three men arrested after a man was found dead with serious injuries at a house in Grimsby have been released.

David Bentley, 62, was found by paramedics at the property on Heneage Road on Friday afternoon.

Humberside Police said three men had been released without charge. Two other men aged in their 20s and 50s are still being questioned.

Detectives said the attack was "vicious and sustained" and that Mr Bentley died from multiple injuries.

Police have reiterated their appeal to speak to a witness who raised the alarm with a neighbour.

The man did not leave any details at the time.

Det Ch Insp Bob Clark, who is leading the inquiry, said: "We are in no doubt this was a vicious and sustained attack where the victim suffered multiple injuries, leaving him with little chance of survival."
