Hundreds of people have attended a service to remember fishermen from Grimsby who lost their lives at sea.

The annual service at the town's St James's Church was to pay tribute to the many fishermen whose bodies have never been recovered.

Nathan Barnard, superintendent of Grimsby Fishermen's Mission, said more people were seeking the mission's help.

"We have seen an increase in the last six months, of say 100 people, approaching us for help," he said.

He urged anyone connected to the fishing industry, perhaps ex-fishermen or their relatives, to contact the mission if they needed help.
