Lorry park death man identified

Janusz Lukaszewzki
Police said Mr Lukaszewzki was a frequent visitor to Immingham

A man who was found dead at a lorry park in North East Lincolnshire has been named by police.

Janusz Lukaszewzki, 48, from Poland, was found in the park off Manby Road, Immingham, by a member of the public on Sunday morning.

Mr Lukaszewzki is believed to have died after being hit by a lorry but police said it was unclear whether the driver was aware of what happened.

Officers said his family in Poland were "devastated" by his death.

Insp Maxine Teasdale, of Humberside Police, said: "Mr Lukaszewzki was a regular visitor and known by a lot of people in the Immingham area.

"I can't stress how important it is for any witnesses to come forward as the smallest piece of information at this stage in our inquiries could make a huge difference in helping us piece together the circumstances which led to Mr Lukaszewzki suffering fatal injuries."

Officers will be talking to people in the lorry park area over the weekend.
