Christmas day death man remanded

A 62-year-old Hull man charged with murdering his wife on Christmas Day has been remanded in custody by a crown court judge until March.

Leslie Harding appeared before Hull Crown Court on Tuesday charged with the murder of Pamela Harding, 63, at their home in Sandy Point, Bilton.

He was remanded in custody until Monday 16 March when he is due to appear again at Hull Crown Court.

Police were called to the couple's home at 1705 GMT on Christmas Day.

Mrs Harding was taken injured to Hull Royal Infirmary where she died on Boxing Day morning.

Humberside Police said she had one grown-up daughter, who lives in Surrey, and also left a sister and two brothers.
