Man held over knifepoint robbery

A man has been arrested over a burglary during which a pensioner was tied up and threatened with a knife at his home in Hull.

The 74-year-old man answered a knock at his front door on Bentley Grove and found a man waiting there.

The thief forced his way into the house and threatened the occupant with a knife before tying him up and stealing a computer, cash and a phone.

Police said a 23-year-old man was being held and would be questioned later.

He has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
