Mourners have attended the funeral service of a 14-year-old boy who died after a garage fire in East Yorkshire.

Ryan Steels escaped the fire in Chestnut Drive, Holme on Spalding Moor on May 17, but suffered serious burns and died in hospital two days later.

The body of his friend Daniel Allan, also 14, was found inside the garage.

Ryan's funeral was held at All Saints Church in the area. Police are still investigating the fire which is being treated as suspicious.

Two people were arrested in connection with the blaze, but have been released on police bail until later this month.

The funeral of Daniel Allan will be held on Wednesday.
