Interchange open after gas scare

Commuters and shoppers using Hull's new transport interchange were ushered out of the building after a suspected gas leak on Thursday afternoon.

Officials decided to close the £18m interchange as gas engineers investigated the source of the leak.

A council spokesman had said people should keep clear of the area until the investigation had been completed.

Bus services across the city were still running, and the interchange was re-opened in the late afternoon.
