Man arrested over fatal stabbing
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the fatal stabbing of a man in a Hull car park.

Post-mortem tests showed that the 24-year-old victim died of a stab wound to the neck after an incident in Bathurst Street late on Friday night.

Early on Sunday morning, police went to a house in Hull and arrested the murder suspect and a 25-year-old man on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Four men arrested early on Saturday have been released without charge.

The victim's family are believed to live in Iraq and police inquiries are focusing on the Iraqi Kurd community.

Humberside Police said officers had contacted relatives who were being supported by specially-trained officers.

However, the dead man had not yet been formally identified.

Det Ch Insp Sharon Fielding, who is leading the investigation, said: "I would like to thank the local diverse community in the area where the victim was assaulted for their assistance in this inquiry.

"We are still searching for a bladed instrument so I would urge anyone who may find one near to Bathurst Street to contact me."
