Four men held over knife killing
Four men have been arrested after a 24-year-old man died of a suspected knife wound to the neck following an attack in a Hull car park.

Detectives are trying to trace a fifth man in connection with the incident in Bathurst Street late on Friday night.

Several addresses in Hull have been searched and the scene of the incident has been cordoned off.

Three Hull men, aged 22, 23 and 24, and a 27-year-old man from Leeds are being questioned by police.

Post-mortem tests are due to be carried out later on the victim, who has not yet been formally identified.

Garden checks

A Humberside Police spokeswoman said: "We received a call at 0017 GMT on Saturday from Hull Royal Infirmary after a man arrived at the hospital with serious injuries to his neck.

"Officers were deployed to the hospital and shortly after the man arrived he was pronounced dead."

Det Ch Insp Sharon Fielding, who is leading the investigation, said: "Our inquiries so far suggest the deceased received injuries in a car park on Bathurst Street near the A63, before being taken to Hull Royal Infirmary for treatment in the early hours of this morning [Saturday].

"I would like to speak to anyone with information about how this man came to be seriously injured."

She said detectives were trying to find a bladed instrument and would urge residents in the Bathurst Street area to check their gardens and bins.
