Armed police protect gas terminal
Armed police officers are being stationed at the Easington gas terminal in East Yorkshire as part of a plan to bolster security at the site.

Humberside Police has taken the step after talks with the Home Office and security agencies "in light of developments nationally and elsewhere".

A police spokeswoman added that the move was part of a planned review of the site.

Additional officers at the terminal will not affect local policing.
