Ex-police boss's home becomes B&B
A retired chief constable has opened up his home in Hull as an eco-friendly, fair trade bed and breakfast.

David Westwood was at the centre of a storm after it emerged his Humberside Force had failed to identify the risk Soham murderer Ian Huntley posed.

He took early retirement last year after initially refusing the Home Secretary's order for him to go.

With his wife Wendy, he has converted his 120-year-old Victorian house in the Sutton area into a bed and breakfast.

Mr Westwood said it was the only dedicated fair trade B&B in the city.

"It is something we have been committed to for a long time," he said.
