Teenager trapped under school bus
A 13-year-old boy suffered multiple injuries when he was trapped under the wheels of a double-decker bus taking pupils to school in East Yorkshire.

Firefighters had to use high-pressure air bags to lift the vehicle off the teenager after the accident near Howden School, Goole, on Thursday morning.

He was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary with head, chest and arm injuries.

The school bus was being operated by Fairway Rhodes Travel whose driver, a 37-year-old Hull man, was not injured.

Humberside Police said the boy's injuries were serious, but not believed to be life-threatening.

"It appears he was walking to school with friends and entered the road when he was struck by the bus," a force spokeswoman said.
