'No leads' in missing Joanne hunt
Joanne Nelson
The search for Joanne Nelson has now entered its third week
Detectives hunting for the body of Hull woman Joanne Nelson say there has been "no significant discoveries" during searches near Selby.

On Thursday, an extra 20 police officers joined the search in areas around Howden, Goole and Drax.

A police spokesman said that despite the lack of leads the search would continue over the next few weeks.

Miss Nelson, 22, went missing on Valentine's Day. Her fiancé Paul Dyson, 30, has been charged with her murder.

Renewed calls

On Wednesday, the Humberside Police helicopter and underwater search teams joined the hunt around the Isle of Axeholme.

Areas which had previously been covered by snow where also searched by officers.

Detectives have renewed calls for landowners, farmers and walkers to contact them if they know of a site featuring a tubular steel farm gate, possibly with a number of green bottles close to the right hand side of the gate.

Behind the gate police believe there is a short track near a copse. It would be set back enough for a car to drive up to it and would be off a surfaced road.
