Men arrested after ferry fracas
A P&O ferry
Ferry security staff detained the three suspects on board
Three men have been arrested after a brawl on board a North Sea ferry.

The disturbance involved about 50 passengers on P&O's Pride of Hull during Friday night's crossing from Hull to Rotterdam.

Three Hull men - aged 21, 24 and 26 - were detained by P&O security staff and handed over to police when the vessel returned to Hull on Sunday morning.

Humberside Police said they were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and released on bail.

'Unacceptable behaviour'

P&O Ferries spokesman Brian Rees said: "There was a fracas on Friday night which got out of hand.

"Our security people restrained and locked up three men whose behaviour was completely unacceptable.

"The three were handed over to the Dutch authorities during our stay in Rotterdam and then we asked the Humberside Police to meet the ferry on its return on Sunday.

"People must realise if they are going to behave like idiots on board a ship then there is nowhere to run and they will be held to account."
