Detectives are searching through CCTV footage of Hull city centre in a bid to trace a young woman from the city who went missing on Valentine's Day.
Joanne Nelson has not been seen since exchanging cards with her partner before he left for work on Monday.
The 22-year-old failed to turn up at a close friend's funeral and did not contact her sister on her birthday.
Detectives said her disappearance was "wholly out of character" and that "they are very, very concerned".
"We are still trawling through CCTV tapes but we have not found anything of significance."
He appealed for anyone who works in a shop in Hull city centre and who may have seen Ms Nelson between Saturday and Monday to contact police.
Car untouched
Ms Nelson's family are close and her mother described her as "home bird", he added.
She was reported missing by her partner on Monday evening when she failed to return to her home in Hotham Road North.
Her Renault Clio car which she uses to drive to work was still parked on the street.
Her mobile phone has not been used and no money has been taken from her bank account since she disappeared.

Ms Nelson's partner, Paul Dyson, has told how he gave her a kiss and cuddle on Monday morning before going off to work.
It was the last time he saw her.
"We swapped Valentine's cards upstairs . I gave her a kiss and a cuddle and got ready for work.
"She was going to get her head down for another hour so I kissed her goodbye and went to work," he said.
She was usually home before him and when she was not he rang her parents and other family, he added.
"If she went anywhere then she would let me know. She wouldn't just leave.
"I love her and I just want her back," he said.
Ms Nelson is described as white, with blonde hair which hangs just below her shoulders, blue eyes, about 5ft 5ins tall, of slim build.
It is believed she may be wearing a long white jacket.
