Curtain to close on film theatre
The curtain is to come down on a special film theatre because falling ticket sales and competition from other cinemas has taken its toll.

The Whitgift Film Theatre was the first film theatre to be built within a school. Equipped by the British Film Institute, it featured art house works.

In recent months competition from a new cinema in nearby Cleethorpes and a drop in audiences has caused problems.

The doors will close on 2 April after a showing of the film Alexander.
