Fishermen statue unveiled in town

A memorial statue dedicated to all fishermen lost at sea has been unveiled in North East Lincolnshire.

The bronze statue, depicting fishermen hauling a net over the side of a boat, will stand in St James' Square near Grimsby parish church.

It was commissioned by the Fisherman's Memorial Trust but residents and businesses raised £60,000 for it.

Artist Trevor Harries designed the statue which was unveiled after a short dedication service.
