Tourism is worth almost £300m a year to the economy of the East Riding, according to a report out this week.
Nearly 9,500 jobs in the area depend on the holiday industry, according to the East Riding Council.
Officials said tourists spent £294m in the East Riding last year and they want to increase that amount.
They are targeting future marketing at couples from the Low Countries, retired Yorkshire couples and northern families, according to a report.
East Riding boasts the high white chalk cliffs of Flamborough Head and earlier this year Bridlington north beach was awarded a prestigious Blue Flag Award for cleanliness.
