Drivers have been urged to avoid any unnecessary journeys

Icy conditions are continuing to leave roads and pavements hazardous for motorists and pedestrians across parts of Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Motorists have been advised to check local road and weather conditions before making the decision to drive.

Police said in some parts the advice is only to make essential journeys.

The Met Office has issued a warning of icy roads saying recent snow and low overnight temperatures was leading to a risk of ice.
