A new general store has opened at a former Woolworths site in Worcestershire.

Alworths has created 30 jobs in Evesham after being launched by Andy Latham, who worked at the collapsed chain for more than 25 years.

Eight of those jobs have gone to former Woolworths workers.

The firm went into administration in November 2008. Similar ventures set up to replace Woolworths, or reopen former stores, have appeared across the UK.
