Arrests after dog's carcass found

Two men have been arrested after a dog's carcass was found in a Worcester canal weighed down with dumbbells.

The carcass was discovered in the Worcester and Birmingham Canal near Blackpole Industrial Estate on 24 September.

The men were detained at separate Worcester addresses on Friday morning.

They are being interviewed by RSPCA officers at South Worcestershire Divisional Police Headquarters in Castle Street, Worcester.
