Falling tree on farm injures man

A man in his 60s has been seriously injured by a falling tree in Herefordshire.

Ambulance crews were called to the forestry plot on a farm off the B4348 in Peterchurch shortly after 1215 GMT.

Paramedics had to drive up a steep logging track to get to the injured man, who was found lying face down on a pile of logs next to a fallen tree.

He was airlifted to Hereford County Hospital for treatment for face, shoulder and neck injuries.
