Big Chill Festival gets under way

The Big Chill festival
Thousands of people are expected at the festival

Thousands of revellers are expected in Herefordshire for the four-day Big Chill Festival.

Organisers of the festival, which is held at Eastnor Castle Deer Park, have not revealed how many tickets have been sold for the 39,999 capacity site.

People with tickets for the Big Green Gathering and Bloom Festival, which have both been cancelled, have been offered access to the event.

Major acts at this year's festival include Basement Jaxx and Orbital.

People attending on Thursday have been asked to come dressed as zombies so they can be used as extras for a film starring Mighty Boosh comedian Noel Fielding.

There is also an effort to break a world record for the most people doing a "zombie walk".

The record is currently held by Nottingham, which had 1,227 people dressed as zombies walking through its Market Square.
