Man in court after park body find

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 66-year-old man who was found dead in a Worcester park.

The body of Gordon Whitehouse, who lived in the village of Whitbourne, was discovered in Gheluvelt Park in the early hours of 15 July.

Alan Lee, 30, from Oakfield Road, Ombersley, appeared at Worcester Magistrates' Court earlier.

No application for bail was made and Mr Lee was remanded to appear at Worcester Crown Court on 28 July.
