Bridges damaged by floods reopen

Two bridges damaged during summer flooding two years ago in Worcestershire have been reopened.

The Greenway Bridge and Joan's Hole Bridge, in Wyre Forest, form part of the Worcestershire Way, a 31-mile walk between Bewdley and Great Malvern.

The bridges were damaged when heavy rain caused severe damage to homes, businesses, roads and railways in the county in July 2007.

Since the floods, walkers have been diverted from the Worcestershire Way.

The bridges have been reopened in time for the annual St Richard's Hospice Sponsored Walk on 26 June which follows the Worcestershire Way.
